There is something about the way the sun hits these mountains that makes every morning walk feel like a scene from a movie. I headed out to catch the golden hour on the peaks, but ended up in a silent standoff with the neighborhood watch. They’re a quiet bunch, though Number 16 is definitely the stoic leader of the group. He doesn’t say much, but that stare tells me I’m definitely on his turf.
